Many children spend their day at camp, park district programs and care centers in the summer. Why not encourage them to read, too? By involving strategic partners already working with children during the summer months your reach will broaden and bring awareness to the important role the library plays in the life of your community. Learn how to transform key partners into advocates and facilitators for summer reading and together impact twice as many children.

"The Librarian Dating Game (Public, School, and Academic Librarians Learning to Love Each Other)"

Remember watching a panel of eligible singles answer superficial questions from one lovelorn single? Forget that. In this session, meet real-life public, school, and academic librarians from across the state as they try to get to the heart of the matter about what we need from each other to end up in happy, long-lasting relationships. This program's sassy question and answer format will help you learn what kind of work each librarian does, how that work impacts other librarians on the continuum, and why collaboration results in an educated community.
